Join hundreds of educators from all around Western New York for High School’s New Face. At last year’s conference participants heard from Tony Wagner (www.schoolchange.org), author of The Global Achievement Gap, who outlined the potential of 21st Century Skills in education. This year will be led by our keynote, David Warlick (http://davidwarlick.com), to take the theory of The Skills and put them into practice. Participants will also experience local classroom practitioners that will answer the following questions:
- What are the 21st century skills that will sustain and grow vibrant communities connected to the global economy and the future?
- What should be expected of today’s students in relation to 21st century skills to enable them to become effective citizens and leaders in our communities?
- What role will teachers and leaders play in actualizing 21st century skills in schools?
- How will teaching and learning look different for all?
COST: $400 for a team of 4 participants. $125 per individual.
Cost includes the full day (8:30am through 4:30pm) conference and food. Lodging is NOT included. Holiday Valley will, however, offer a "group rate" for lodging.
