The following are some new titles that have been placed on the shelves in the Elementary Library

Alejandro's Gift by Richard Albert

Faithful elephants by Yukio Tsuchiya.

"Recounts how three elephants in a Tokyo zoo were put to death because of the war, focusing on the pain shared by the elephants and

the keepers who must strave them."

Captain Abdul's Pirate School by Colin McNaughton

Sent to pirate school against her will, Maisy Pickles organizes a mutiny among the students.

Sir Cumference and the first round table : a math Adventure by Cindy Neuschwander

This book deals with shapes and Geometry. "Assisted by his knight, Sir Cumference, and using ideas offered by his wife and son, King

Arthur finds the perfect shape for his table."

The Secret Knowledge of groun-ups by David Wisniewski

A new humorous revelation of the real reasons why adults tell children to do things, such as, "Brush your teeth," "Eat your breakfast,"

and "Clean under your bed."

A New Reference book

The Encyclopedia of New York State

This reference book is an alphabetical encyclopedia of New York State. It attempts to cover the entire scope of New York State from

politics, economics, environment, bibgraphical ent4ies to local entries. A three page entry is on Allegany County along with entries on

the town of Scio and the town of Alma

The elementary library has purchased approximatley 56 titles of the Zoobooks magazine. A PermaBound cover has been placed on each

magazine making it into a hardback book. Zoobook are an all-in-one, everything you wanted to know guide to animals, birds, reptiles, and

insects of the world. There are 24 pages of photography, colorful illustrations, diagrams, insightful writing that explain facts and things

about animals.
